Authors Prof. dr Zoran Ćirković Data of Catalogue Hardcover Meta JUDO; MARTIAL ARTS; FIGHTING; WRESTLING; Summary: This book started the project of presenting the basic teaching methods of martial arts based on past decades of research and professional pedagogical practices with students and many elite athletes at the Department of Martial Arts at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education at the University of Belgrade. The first part of the book is a theoretical introduction to the teaching methods of judo. However, with its scope and content it exceeded the limits of the sport and acquired the character beyond the theoretical foundations related to the entire area of martial arts. The second part of the book is deliberately presented as a kind of practicum, which is strongly relying on the established theoretical basis, and provides the reader a complete understanding of the complex teaching methods of judo through clear and obvious guidelines for easy and effective learning techniques of this sport. Based on many years of experience in working with students and athletes, it offers a number of general and specific exercises that can be used in the process of Judo techniques training.
